CUNYAC Semifinal: Baruch 5, Brooklyn 0
The women’s tennis team defeated Brooklyn College, 5-0, in the semifinal round of the 2009 CUNYAC Tennis Championships played on Friday afternoon at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.
The Bearcats will now advance to the championship match to play rival Hunter College.
The match was originally scheduled to be played tomorrow (Saturday, October 24), but due to the forecast for rain, the match was rescheduled to Tuesday, October 27 at 4:00 pm at the U.S. National Tennis Center.
The Bearcats started the match on a cold and overcast afternoon by sweeping the first three doubles for a 3-0 lead.
They wrapped up it up with Kristine Kraujina and Alexandra Vamanu recording singles victories to avenge an 8-1 loss to the Bridges earlier this season.
Per post-season NCAA rules, the match is halted after the winning team records the fifth point. For a complete list of results, please read below.
