Women's Volleyball Sweep Medgar Evers

The women’s volleyball team defeated Medgar Evers on Tuesday night to clinch first place in the CUNYAC standings.
The Bearcats earned their 22nd victory of the season with a 25-11, 25-10, 25-11 score to also finish the regular season with an 8-1 record in the conference standings.
The team is in a three way tie for first place with Hunter and CCNY, but win the tie-breaker based on set wins.
Carissa Hoover led the attack this evening with eight kills, while Christina Pierre recorded six kills.
Lauren Hayden, the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week, and Alana Kotlyar finished with four kills each.
Melinda Santiago dished out 30 assists and Posey Wilson collected a team-high nine digs.
CUNYAC TOURNAMENT: The women’s volleyball team will host a quarterfinal playoff match on Tuesday, November 3, at 6:00 pm, in the ARC Arena. The top-seeded Bearcats will play the 8th-seeded Cougars of Medgar Evers College for the second time in a week.
