CUNYAC Announces 2009 Men's Tennis All-Stars

2009 Men's Tennis Champions
The CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) office has announced the postseason all-star awards for the 2009 spring season.

The Bearcats had two players named First Team, one player Second Team and one player named Honorable Mention for their accomplishments during the season that included a CUNYAC championship.

Senior Fedor Khrushchev was named a First Team All-Star for posting a 10-4 overall singles record, including a 7-2 mark against #1 singles opposition. He was also previously named the CUNYAC Tournament MVP.

Senior Emanuel Imperial was also named a First Team All-Star for the first time in his playing career. Imperial recorded a 9-3 record in singles play and was 8-0 in #3 singles.

Sophomore Tadas Valiukenas was named a Second Team All-Star. Tadas finished the season 10-3 in singles and stepped up at #2 singles when needed to post a 6-1 record. Tadas and Khrushchev also combined at #1 doubles to post a 4-1 record.


Senior Aliaksei Misitau was recognized as a Honorable Mention for a 5-2 record in singles play, including 3-1 at #5 singles.
