For the second straight year, seniors Pablo Oliveira and Eryk Kowalski have each earned All-American Honors in Division III Men’s Volleyball.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) in Lexington, Kentucky made the official announcement on Monday afternoon.

The All-American honors are the highest individual athletic achievement awarded to a student-athlete in their sport. Oliveira repeats as a First Team All-American, while Kowalski is on the First Team after earning Second Team honors last year.

The two players have played a major part in helping Baruch reach their first-ever Final Four (in any sport) this weekend in Rochester, New York.

Oliveira (610 kills, 4.15 k/s, 268 digs) was named the 2011 CUNYAC Player of the Year, a First Team NECVA All-Star, and was twice named the AVCA National Division III Player of the Week.

Kowalski (407 kills, 3.42 k/s) was named a 2011 CUNYAC First Team All-Star and recorded a career-high 28 kills in the NECVA championship match against Nazareth College on April 3.

The Bearcats, who currently own a record of 34-14, will play Springfield College in a Molten Final Four semifinal match scheduled for Friday, April 15, at 5:00 pm, at Nazareth College.
