The men’s tennis team defeated CCNY, 5-0, in a CUNYAC / Hospital for Special Surgery Championship quarterfinal round match played on Wednesday night at the USTA Billie Jean King U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.

The Bearcats won the three doubles with 8-0 scores each, and then recorded victories at #3 and #6 singles (6-0, 6-0 scores) to wrap up the 5-0 victory to improve their season record to 13-2 overall.

Per postseason rules, the match was halted after the winning team recorded the fifth point.

Stephan Muller and Christopher Jenkins stayed undefeated at second singles this season with an 8-0 victory to go 14-0 in the flight.

The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday, April 29, with a semifinal match against the College of Staten Island. First serve at the U.S. National Tennis Center is scheduled for 3:00 pm.
