The women's volleyball team swept the Cougars of Medgar Evers College in a CUNYAC Pepsi Championship quarterfinal round playoff match on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats advance to the semifinal round on Friday night (6:00 pm) to take on Brooklyn College in upper Manhattan at the Hunter College Sportsplex. The winner of this match will play the winner of Hunter versus Lehman match to decide the title and coveted berth to the NCAA Tournament at 8:00 pm.

The Bearcats rolled this evening to their 17th victory of the season with scores of 25-5, 25-4, 25-9 to extend their undefeated CUNYAC streak (regular & postseason) to 29 in a row.

McKenzie Davidson led the way with 13 kills, while Sydney Parks added seven kills and two aces.

Fans are reminded that while tickets for all CUNYAC Championships are free, they are still required and we urge them to secure their FREE tickets online BEFORE attending the event as the on-site registration process will delay their entry. Fans can secure their tickets at www.cunyathletics.com/tickets.

There will be a free tailgate (food) party at Baruch (Level B3, behind elevator) starting at 6:30 pm on Friday. If the Bearcats reach the final, the tailgate party will depart school at 7:30 pm to take the #6 subway to Hunter College.

The tailgate is open to all Baruch students, faculty and staff.
