SAAC Holiday Food Drive Totals 250 Pounds of Donations to City Harvest

The Baruch College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) saw their efforts concluded today when City Harvest arrived at school to pick up the 250 pounds of donated canned and boxed foods, along with monetary donations that exceeded $400.00.

SAAC, which is a committee of student-athletes from each of the varsity teams, took turns during club hours in November and December to collect the donations.

SAAC President Justin Starrantino met with City Harvest representatives this morning to hand off the donations.

"I am very proud with all the team efforts this year in raising so many donations," said Starrantino. "We also had lots of fun teaming up with the student body for a tremendous cause."

The donations are being brought today to a food kitchen in East Harlem.

SAAC thanks the Baruch students, faculty, staff, and coaches who came out to donate this year and looks forward to their continued support at future fundraisers.
