Do I need Insurance?
No, you are not required to have health insurance to be eligible to become a Baruch College Student-Athlete. However, it is strongly recommended to have at least accident insurance that covers intercollegiate athletic injuries to help decrease out of pocket expenses.
Baruch College offers all students a comprehensive insurance plan through GHI/CUNY Student Health Insurance CLICK HERE.
All Baruch College Student-Athletes are covered under Baruch College’s Insurance Plan, which is a secondary plan for orthopedic injuries occurring during supervised practice or games. If the Student-Athlete does not have primary insurance, they are responsible for a $150.00 deductible per injury that must be paid by the Student Athlete should Baruch College’s Insurance Plan be implemented.
