Head Coach, Sixth Season

Ranford Champagnie will begin his sixth season as head coach of the men's soccer team.
He was appointed as the men's soccer coach on December 15, 2003, and previously served as an assistant coach during the 2001 and 2002 seasons.
During his first season as head coach, he led Baruch to their first-ever CUNYAC Tournament Championship and appearance in the NCAA Tournament. For his efforts, he was named the 2004 Conference Coach of the Year.
He repeated those same accomplishments in 2006, as the Bearcats won the CUNYAC Tournament Championship, returned to play in the NCAA Tournament, and was named for the second time as Conference Coach of the Year.
Ranford also spent his summer of 2005 as head coach of the Brooklyn Knights semi-pro soccer team.
Ranford enjoyed an outstanding three-year career at St. John's University, scoring five goals and 15 assists. During his freshman year at St. John's, he started 22 games and captured the Big East Championship. He scored four goals and eight assists during his sophomore year leading the Red Storm to the 1996 NCAA Division I National Championship.
The midfielder injured his knee in preseason before the 1997 season, but bounced back to start 20 of the 21 Red Storm matches during his senior year.
As a high school player, he helped James Monroe High in the Bronx to the New York State championship, while earning the Iron Horse Award as the team’s Player of the Year.
Champagnie, who holds a marketing degree from St. John's, lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Christina, and his twin sons, Justin and Julian.
Dima Kamenshchik, Baruch '04

Associate Head Coach, Sixth Season

Dima Kamenshchik is a 1999 graduate of Edward R. Murrow High School in Brooklyn, N.Y.
He attended the New York City College of Technology (City Tech) for two years and played on their intercollegiate varsity soccer team. He was named a team captain during his sophomore season.
The Belarus native transferred to Baruch College in 2001.
Kamenshchik played soccer for two seasons with the Bearcats, and was also named a team captain during his senior year.
He was named an Associate Head Coach of Baruch in the fall of 2004, and has played a significant part in two CUNYAC Championships and NCAA appearances (2004 & 2006).
Dima is part of the NCAA regional men's soccer Div. III ranking committee.
He graduated from Baruch in January 2004, with a B.A. in marketing management, and holds an NSCAA National Coaching License.
In addition to his duties with soccer, Dima assists both the sports information department and equipment manager's office.
Thomas Murdoch, Baruch ‘07
Assistant Coach, Third Season
Thomas is in his third season as an assistant coach.
As a four-year Baruch central defender, Thomas was a member of two CUNYAC Championship teams (2004 & 2006) that went on to play in the NCAA Tournament.
He was named the CUNYAC Tournament MVP in 2004, after leading the Bearcats to their first conference championship and first appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
He was also a member of the CUNYAC All-Star Goodwill team that traveled and played in South Africa during the summer of 2006.
Thomas graduated from Baruch with degree in accounting.
Vincent Favara
Assistant Coach, Second Season
Vincent is in his second season as assistant coach of the men's soccer program.
Vincent, a 2008 CUNY Athletic Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year Honorable Mention Winner, played four years for Baruch, and was a member of two conference championships teams (2004, 2006) that went on to play in the NCAA Tournament.
As a defender, he scored three goals and totaled eight assists throughout his outstanding four-year career.
Anthony Favara
Assistant Coach, Second Season
Anthony is in his second season as assistant coach of the men's soccer program.
Anthony, a three-year player for the Bearcats, was an emotional leader on defense and a member of the 2006 conference championship team that went on to play in the NCAA Tournament against #25 Wesleyan.
He joined the soccer team in 2005, after transferring from the Division I program of St. Francis College of Brooklyn.
