Freshman Idelissa Lluveres (Bronx, N.Y./Aquinas), junior Cynthia Duran (New York, N.Y./Murry Bergtraum), and senior Leidy Nunez (Bronx, N.Y./DeWitt Clinton) all hit two-run homers.
Hunter fought back in the bottom of the first with four runs, highlighted with a two run single by Jacqueline Frank and an RBI double by Zurely Garcia-Valerio. They added two more in the bottom of the second inning to tie the game at 6-6.
They took the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth with four runs on four singles to clinch the comeback.
In the nightcap, Hunter scored in every inning for the 8-0 victory.
Stephanie Alves, Jennifer Damroth and Garcia-Valerio all hit home runs as part of an 11-hit attack to sweep the conference encounter.
The Bearcats were limited to four hits via three singles from Lluveres, junior Melinda Dolan (Staten Island, N.Y./St. John Villa), and freshman Melissa Pena (Queens, N.Y./W.C. Bryant).
Sophomore Margie Roman (Bronx, N.Y./Manhattan Center) had the fourth hit with a double.
The softball team will look to shake off the disappointing losses, when they return to action on Thursday, with a 3:30 pm conference road doubleheader at Lehman College.
