Men's Volleyball Defeats Endicott and Milwaukee School of Engineering

The men’s volleyball team swept Endicott College (30-27, 30-19, 30-20) and defeated Milwaukee School of Engineering in an exciting comeback (30-28, 19-30, 28-30, 30-22, 15-13) on Saturday night in the Wisconsin Classic played in Milwaukee.

The victories help the visiting Bearcats bounce back from Friday’s loss, as they now improve to 2-1 on the young regular season schedule.

Against Endicott, Pablo Oliveira led the way with 17 kills and 12 digs, while Radu Wyrwas dished out 41 assists. Levi Rachmanov collected a team-high 13 digs. Matt McKee and Gabriel Rivera each had nine kills in the afternoon win.

Against the home team M.S.O.E., the Bearcats overcame a 2-1 deficit to squeeze out an exciting fifth-set victory in front of the home crowd.

Oliveira was influential again with 15 kills and 16 digs, while Rivera also finished with 16 digs. McKee had 15 kills and Wyrwas led the attack with 48 assists (89 total today). Rachmanov came up big defensively again with 24 digs.

The Bearcats will resume action on Sunday morning with an 11:00 am match against local school Carthage College and 1:00 pm match against Rivier College of New Hampshire.
