CUNYAC Semifinal: Baruch 5, John Jay 0; Bearcats Play Lehman Friday for CUNYAC Title & NCAA Berth

The women's tennis team defeated the Bloodhounds of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, 5-0, in a CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Championship semifinal match on a blustery and chilly Tuesday afternoon at the Billie Jean King U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.

The Bearcats won all three doubles and followed up with two quick victories in singles for the 5-0 shutout. Per postseason rules, the first team to five points wins the match.

Senior Allie Jackson-Hing recorded the fifth-and-deciding point with a 6-0, 6-2 win at first singles.

The Bearcats (9-3) will next take on the Lightning Lehman College (14-1) on Friday, October 28, at 3 p.m. in the championship match at the U.S. National Tennis Center. The winner also earns CUNYAC's highly-coveted berth to the NCAA Tournament in May 2017
