The Baruch Bearcats went on to split a CUNYAC meet against the Dolphins from the College of Staten Island on Friday night in the ARC Aquatic Center.

The women won big, while the men suffered a narrow loss in an early season conference showdown.

The Bearcats will hit the road on Monday, November 21, for a 6 p.m. non-conference meet at the State University of New York College at Old Westbury on Long Island.

HIGHLIGHTS

*The 200 Medley Relay ream of Ashley Louke, Yee Chung Phang, Daniela Giraldo, and Rachel Samuels finished first with a time of 2:17:43.

*The 200 Medley Relay team of Eddy Min, Jonathan Hla, Sam Fassler, and Erik Kantar finished second with a time of 2:01:20.

*Wendy Ambrosio won the 800 (10:46:57) and 400 Freestyle (5:22:54) events.

*Matthew Greenfield finished second in the 800 Freestyle (10:43:15).

*Asimina Hamakiotes finished second in the 200 Freestyle (2:26:69). She later won the 100 Freestyle with a time of 1:06:18.

*Joseph Vasile finished second in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:16:25.

*Rachel Samuels placed second in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 29:68.

*Andrew Lubrino took the quick 50 Freestyle (25.84) and second in the 100 Freestyle (58:00).

*Yee Chung Phang won the 200 IM (2:42:02) and 100 Breaststroke (1:23.04).

*Erik Kantar placed second in the 200 IM (2:28:62) and 100 Breaststroke (1:14:81) events.

*Daniela Giraldo won the 100 Butterfly with a quick time of 1:13:68.

*Sam Fassler placed second in the 100 Butterfly with a final time of 1:05:81.

*Nicole Ousmanova placed second in the 100 Backstroke (1:20:34).

*Eddy Min won the 100 Backstroke (1:09:43).

*Matthew Greenfield finished second in the 400 Free (5:10:71).

*The relay of Asimina Hamakiotes, Wendy Ambrosio, Rachel Samuels, and Debbie Li finished second in the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:52:79).

*The relay of Dennis Chu, Joseph Vasile, Andrew Lubrino, and Marlon Somwaru won the final event of the evening, the 200 Freestyle Relay, in 1:49:41.
