Men's Soccer Posts 4-0 Shutout Against St. Joseph's (Brooklyn)

The men's soccer team ended a four-match losing streak with a 4-0 home win against the Bears of St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on Friday night at Randall's Island Field #75.

The Bearcats out-shot the visitors from the Skyline Conference, 30-7, which included a 19-4 margin in the first half.

The Bearcats attacked from the opening whistle, forcing Bears' goalkeeper Olejandro Oliveros into making 11 saves in the first 45 minutes.

Rookie Austin Tucker scored the first goal early in the third minute thanks to a through ball for an assist by
Kevin Zhagui .

The Bearcats exploded in the second half with goals by
Bakary Kida , Macdara Heanue and a second by Tucker for the win.

Victor Torres (3 saves) and Elliot Breslav combined for the shutout. 

The Bearcats will continue their home stand on Monday, October 16, with a 5:00 pm match against William Paterson University at Randall's Island Field #10.
