Men's Soccer Routs York, Finish 4th in CUNYAC Standings, Playoffs Next Wednesday

The men's soccer team recorded a 9-1 CUNYAC road win win against the Cardinals of York College on Wednesday night at Aviator Field in Brooklyn, New York.

Rookie
Cormac Foley recorded a hat-trick and two assists to play a big part in five of the nine goals.

Christian Minich scored twice, and Macdara Heanue and Austin Tucker each notched one goal. Tucker and Alexey Arefev dished out two assists each.

One of the nine goals by the Bearcats was an own goal by York.

The visiting Bearcats took a quick 3-0 lead after 12 minutes en route to finishing the regular season portion of their schedule with an 8-7 overall record, which includes a 5-3 (15 points) record in CUNYAC for fourth place.

The team will next focus on the CUNYAC Championship Tournament that begins with quarterfinal round matches next Wednesday, October 25. The Bearcats will host the College of Staten Island in a 4th seed versus 5th seed match up at 6 p.m. at Randall's Island Field #10.
