Men's Tennis Earns First Win, Defeat Purchase

The men's tennis team posted a 9-0 shutout of the Panthers of SUNY Purchase on a sunny Tuesday afternoon at the Billie Jean King U.S. National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, New York.

The Bearcats earned their first win by sweeping all three doubles and six singles.

Leonard Margolis, who was named the CUNYAC Player of the Week on Monday, won at No. 2 singles 6-2, 6-1.

Judah Wertenteil had an impressive comeback at No. 6 singles, 6-7, 6-4, 10-6 to help clinch the shutout.

Marco Gobbato, Lewis Pena, Michael Dozortsev and rookies Clement Lacoudre and Jeremy Berman were also victorious in their contests.
