Game Recap: Softball |

Softball Finish Regular Season With DH vs St. Joseph's (BK), Playoffs Start Friday

The softball team lost both ends of a non-conference doubleheader to St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn on Saturday at Gil Hodges Field in Brooklyn, New York.

Victoria Kisling smacked an RBI double and Nicole Bellini had a solo homer in the third inning, but it was not enough in a very competitive 4--2 loss where neither team scored in the last four innings.

Bellini reached the prestigious milestone of 100 career hits in her productive career with the solo homer.

Megan Finnerty led the Bears batting 3-for-3 with a run scored.

In the second contest, the Bears captured a 9-1 win in six innings.

Bellini accounted for the Bearcats' only run with an RBI double to plate Kaitlyn Vichas in the third inning.

The Bears scored three runs in their first at-bat and added four more in the fifth en route to their tenth win of the season.

The Bearcats will return to the diamond on Friday with an 11:00 a.m. CUNYAC opening round playoff contest against top-seeded College of Staten Island. The CUNY Athletic Conference will announce the finalized schedule and seeding on Monday.
