Softball Falls in CUNYAC Championship Tournament

The softball team competed in the first day of the CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Softball Championships on Friday at the College of Staten Island softball complex.

The Bearcats started play with a morning contest and lost 8-0 to Staten Island, who scored in each of the first three innings for the victory. Cassandra Lagana and Gabrielle Huezo each had a single.

In the second contest, which was double elimination against Lehman, the Bearcats scored first in their opening at-bat on a RBI single by Nicole Bellini to plate Lagana.

The Lightning scored four runs in their first at-bat en route to the 8-1 win.
