Pratt Takes Down Bearcats in Overtime

The Cannoneers of Pratt Institute made five of their six shots in overtime to defeat the visiting Bearcats, 73-70, on Tuesday night in Brooklyn, New York.

The Bearcats led the entire first half and built up a 35-27 lead at halftime behind 13 first half points from Adnan Bajrami.

They continued in the second half leading 44-37 with 13:12 left before the hosts started a rally scoring eight of the next nine points to tie it at 45.

The two teams battled down the stretch and Pratt managed to build their biggest lead of the game at 59-55 with 1:23 left.

The Bearcats came back to force overtime as Emil Purisic scored four points in the final 1:12.

Pratt built up a 66-61 lead in the overtime on a three and a layup by Daniel Golub.

Baskets by Purisic and Bajrami managed to cut the deficit to 66-65, but the Cannoneers finished the game to hold for the home win.

Bajrami led the Bearcats with 22 points and Purisic finished with 17. They each recorded seven rebounds.

Jehmehl Fair and Liam Sanborn scored 11 points each.

Patrick O'Gorman was tops for Pratt with 25 points.
