Women's Basketball Wins Fourth Straight Contest, Spahiu Records 1,000th Career Point

The women's basketball team defeated the Beavers of CCNY 81-40 in a CUNYAC rescheduled contest on Wednesday night at CCNY's Nat Holman Gymnasium.

Melinda Spahiu made history during the second half becoming the 15th player in women's basketball program history to score 1,000 career points. She now totals 1,002.

Mia Castillo led the Bearcats tonight with 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds, while Spahiu had 15 points to go along with seven steals.

Allison Altamirano scored another career-high, this time with 13 points.

Monae Laing led CCNY with 21 points and 19 rebounds.
