Women's Tennis Defeats John Jay 9-0 at U.S. National Tennis Center

The women's tennis team won their fourth match in a row defeating the Bloodhounds of John Jay College 9-0 in a CUNYAC match on Thursday afternoon at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.

The visiting Bearcats won all six singles and three doubles for the important conference victory that takes them to 2-0 in the early CUNYAC standings. 

The Bearcats won at third doubles behind the efforts of Keila Pagan and Stephanie Tapia winning, 8-2.

They continued to control the match in singles with Ava Deguzman (#1, 6-0, 6-0), Esther Benjamin (#2, 6-2, 6-1), Regina Kelley (#3, 6-0, 6-3), and Erica Sheludenko (#4, 6-0, 6-0) all staying undefeated in singles after six matches.

The Bearcats will return to action on Monday for the first of four matches next week beginning with a road contest at Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey.
