Penn State Harrisburg Tip-Off: Stockton 69, Bearcats 60

The men's basketball team dropped their season-opener on Saturday to Stockton University, 69-60, in a match up of the Penn State-Harrisburg Classic in Pennsylvania.

The Ospreys from the New Jersey Athletic Conference took the lead early 11-8 and connected on 10-of-31 threes the rest of the game for the victory.

The Bearcats controlled the boards with a 44-33 rebounding advantage but fell behind early in the second half (52-39) and could not recover. They only got as close as six points (62-56) with under three minutes remaining.

Jehmehl Fair led the Bearcats with 16 points, while Sayeed Osorio made his debut in a Bearcat uniform with 12 points.

Emil Purisic scored seven points and grabbed 13 rebounds.

Kyion Flanders led four Ospreys (1-0) in double-figure scoring with 17 points.

The Bearcats (0-1) will quickly return to action tomorrow with a 1:00 p.m. contest against Chatham University from Pittsburgh.
