CUNYAC Tennis Semifinal: Bearcats 5, Lehman 0

The men's tennis team defeated the Lightning of Lehman College, 5-0, in a CUNYAC Championship semifinal match played on Sunday afternoon at the USTA Billie Jean National Tennis Center in Queens.

The Bearcats won all three doubles and two quick singles for the 5-0 shutout that helped them stretch their overall win streak to eight in a row.

Per post-season rules, the match ended as soon as the first team won their fifth point.

Nicholas Santiago and Piers Seidman won the first team point at third doubles 8-1.

Santiago ended the match recording the fifth team point after winning at fourth singles 6-0, 6-0.

The Bearcats will play Hunter College on Thursday, May 5, at 3:00 p.m. for the CUNYAC title and berth to the NCAA Tournament.
