Men's Basketball Wins at John Jay, Led from Start to Finish

The men's basketball team scored the first five points and never looked back en route to an 80-68 CUNYAC victory at John Jay College on Saturday afternoon.

The visiting Bearcats controlled the game the entire way and scored 24 points off 16 turnovers by the Bloodhounds to lead by as much as 25 points (69-44) during the second half.

The Bloodhounds did keep the game interesting late managing to get as close as 71-61 with 2:39 left, but the Bearcats connected on 9-of-11 free throws in the final 2:06 to seal the victory.

Michael Gannon (7-12 fg) and Sayeed Osorio (seven rebounds) led five Bearcats in double-figure scoring with 15 points each.

Devin Nicholson scored 13 points, while Jehmehl Fair and Akil Vaughn had 12 each as part of a balanced scoring attack for the victory.

Jayson Delgado was tops for the Bloodhounds with 19 points (5-7 3fg).
