Women's Basketball Wins at CCNY

The women's basketball team went on the road Tuesday night to record a 67-52 victory at CCNY.

Neither team shot the ball well this evening (Baruch 25.3%, CCNY 31.3%) at Nat Holman Gymnasium, but 25 points by Mia Castillo and 5 threes by Paige Traynor helped carry the Bearcats to the CUNYAC victory.

The Bearcats led 38-36 with 4:04 left in the third period of a close game but finished that period with a 10-3 run to jump ahead 48-39.

They started the fourth period scoring eight of the first 10 points en route to the 15-point victory.

Elissa Leung had another solid game for the Bearcats with 12 points, nine rebounds (career-high), and four assists.

Kasia Morrison led the home team with 17 points.
