Men's Basketball Notches Third Straight Win, Defeat Brooklyn

The men's basketball team overcame a slow start to defeat the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College, 74-62, on Friday night.

The Bearcats fell behind after 10 minutes by the score of 18-8, but took control in the next 10 minutes scoring 24 of the next 30 points to jump ahead 32-24 at halftime.

They kept up their momentum in the second half (shooting 51.6%) and comfortably led 65-41 before the Bulldogs went on a little scoring spurt to finish with the 74-62 score.

Michael Gannon led another balanced scoring attack with 14 points (6-11 fg), while Jehmehl Fair (3-6 3fg) and and Devin Nicholson (3-7 3fg) scored 11 each from mostly beyond the arc.

Gerard Nicholson scored 10 points, Akil Vaughn came off the bench with eight points and six rebounds, and Sean Donnellan dished out six assists for the home victory.

Kayin Olajide was tops for Brooklyn with 17 points.
