Ivette Mejia begins her third season as an assistant coach with the cross-country program.
Ivette is no stranger when it comes to Cross Country. She is an All-American Cross-Country Runner, 2-time PAC Champion and PAC Runner of the Year for Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
She became the first female athlete in school history to break the 19-minute mark in the 5K with a school-record time of 18:04 in the National Catholic Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. She also won PAC Championships two consecutive years. During her NCAA Championship race, she broke her own school-record by running a time of 21:37 in the 6K.
After breaking school records for Saint Vincent College, she qualified for the 2020 USA Marathon trials in Atlanta.
Ivette is also working at New York Road Runners, INC as a Training Supervisor for the company's youth program.
