Senior guard Jody Trapp of the women's basketball team was voted by members of the athletic department as the Baruch Athlete of the Month for January 2007.
Jody missed only two foul shots during the entire month, and has been among the leaders in NCAA Division III free throws.
The New Rochelle native started the month with a solid 16 point effort versus #13 ranked Messiah College on January 2.
She followed that with 14 points, five steals, and six assists in a home victory against the Cardinals of York College on January 3.
In one of her best games of the season, Jody picked up 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting from 3-point range, while also dishing out eight assists, in a big road win at City Tech on January 10.
She stayed on fire against rival Hunter College on January 27, posting 16 points, while hitting all of her four shots from beyond the arc.
Jody averaged 11.3 points, as the Bearcats finished with a 9-2 record during the month of January.
