Baruch College is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) for Division III. As a member institution, the conduct of the College’s intercollegiate athletic program with regards to all athletic matters related to admissions, financial aid, eligibility and recruiting is governed by rules and regulations set forth in the NCAA constitution and bylaws.
The Director of Athletics and the Assistant Athletic Director for Academics, Compliance and Eligibility are directly responsible for ensuring that the College is meeting its obligation to apply and enforce these rules. The Athletics Compliance Team (ACT) functions to provide institutional compliance oversight and shared responsibility across campus departments.
Any allegation of a potential violation of NCAA rules and/or regulations should immediately be reported to Carrie Thomas, Assistant Athletic Director for Academics, Compliance, and Eligibility at 646-312-5053 or Carrie.Thomas@baruch.cuny.edu. Additionally, any allegation of a potential violation may also be reported to any ACT member which would then direct the violation to the Director of Athletics and Assistant AD for ACE.
Baruch College Athletics is committed to maintaining institutional control and promoting compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations. All athletics personnel, student-athletes, and representatives of athletics interests are expected to report known or suspected violations promptly. Good-faith reporting is encouraged and protected from retaliation in accordance with institutional policy.
