For the second straight month, junior women's basketball player Kalea Davis has been named the Athlete of the Month (January 2009).
Davis had a very productive January by averaging 17.2 points and 12.8 rebounds per game, helping her team to an 8-2 record. In addition, throughout the month, she recorded a double-double in every single game.

** Kalea scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds versus Richard Stockton (1/5).
** Followed that game with 19 points and 13 rebound performance against rival Hunter (1/7).
** Shot 11-of-19 from the field with career-high 27 points and 12 rebounds versus #8 Messiah (1/12).
** She scored 20 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a crucial road victory over rival Lehman (1/16).
** Shot 8-of-13 from the field, scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, in a road rout at Hunter (1/30).
** On January 19th, Kalea was named the Prestosports/MBWA, CUNYAC and ECAC Player of the Week.
