Co-Captain Daniela Giraldo is the Baruch Athlete of the Month for January 2017.
Giraldo had a solid effort in three CUNYAC meets in winning all three of her events. She also won one event and finished second in two others against Division I Manhattan College.

HIGHLIGHTS
* She was a perfect 3-for-3 with wins in the 200 free (2:27.91), 100 butterfly (1:11.62), and 200 freestyle relay (2:01.18) events against rival Hunter (1/6).
* She individually won the 200 I.M. (2:32.94) and 500 free style (6:12.04) events, along with teaming up to win the opening 200 yard medley relay (2:04.46) event against Brooklyn (1/10).
*Â Continues to win meet after meet, this time taking the 200 free in a time of 2:36.38 and the 100 butterfly in 1:15.15 against Lehman (1/12).
* Against Div. I Manhattan, she finished second in the 100 butterfly (1:05.46) and 200 yard medley relay (2:01.60) events. She was a member of winning 200 freestyle relay (1:51.09).
* Voted the CUNYAC Swimmer of the Week on January 17.
