Lightning Strikes Bearcats (77-64)

The men's basketball team dropped a 77-64 conference road game on Thursday night to the Lightning of Lehman College at The APEX in the Bronx.

The loss drops the Bearcats to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in CUNYAC, while Lehman improve to the same exact record.

Lehman led most of the way for the home victory, and benefited from 47 percent (16-34) free throw shooting from the Bearcats (3-3, 1-1 CUNYAC).

The Lightning led at halftime, 30-20, and were able to answer the Baruch rallies during the second half.

Senior Carl Emengo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Canarsie) led the visiting Bearcats with 26 points (11-14 FT), while sophomore Felix Benito (Bronx, N.Y./Manhattan Center) had his finest game in a Baruch uniform with 15 points (7-10 FG).

Nick Watson (Bronx, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) was the top scorer for Lehman with 18 points. 

The Bearcats will return to action on Saturday in the ARC Arena with a non-conference home game against St. Mary's of Maryland. Tip off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
