The men's tennis team started its season with an 8-1 defeat of Rutgers-Newark in a non-conference match up on Tuesday afternooon at the U.S. National Tennis Center in Queens.
The victory stretches the Bearcats (1-0) winning streak to 22 matches overall.
The team won five singles and all three doubles for the victory.
They will return to action this Friday with their conference opener against City Tech. First serve at the U.S. National Tennis Center is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
