The men's volleyball team lost in five to New Jersey City University in an ECAC semifinal match played on Saturday afternoon at Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey.

The Gothic Knights won the first two sets (30-26, 36-34), but the Bearcats (29-7) rallied to win the next two (30-26, 30-20) to force a fifth. However, the Gothic Knights jumped out early in the tie-breaker to win, 15-6. 

CUNYAC MVP Greg Waldvogel (West Hempstead, N.Y./West Hempstead) led the way with 23 kills, 10 digs, and two assists, while CUNYAC First Team All-Star Steve Rouse (New York,  N.Y./A.P. Randolph) recorded 21 kills and five block solos. 

King Cheng (Great Neck, N.Y./Great Neck South) recorded 77 assists, and William Miranda (Minais-Gerais, Brazil/Long Island City) added 11 kills and six digs.

Men's volleyball finish the season with a team-record 29 wins.
