Bearcats Roll By York (92-28)

The women’s basketball team defeated York College, 92-28, in a conference game played on Wednesday night in the ARC Arena.
 
The Bearcats (7-5) jumped out to a 22-7 lead and never looked back to improve their record to 3-0 in conference play.
 
They also stretched their conference winning streak, which dates back to last season, to 19 consecutive games. The streak includes regular season and tournament games.  
 
The Bearcats shot 45 percent (19-42) in the first half, while York (0-9, 0-3 CUNYAC) struggled by connecting on only three of their first 25 shots.
 
York also committed 35 total turnovers and finished the game shooting 19 percent (11-57). 
 
The entire Baruch roster scored in the victory with five players reaching double-figures.
 
Karlee Whipple (Lund, Nevada/Lund) led the way with 17 points, Racquel Reid (Bronx, N.Y./Washington Irving) scored 15 points, and Jody Trapp (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) had 14 points, six assists, and five steals.  
 
Desiree Patton (Jamaica, N.Y./Martin Van Buren) led the visitors with eight points and five rebounds.
 
The Bearcats will return to action this Saturday with a conference road game at CCNY. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 pm.
