CUNYAC Weekly Women's Volleyball Report -  October 22

The women's volleyball team defeated the Cougars in four (30-15, 30-16, 25-30, 30-10) to notch their 17th victory of the regular season and seventh straight in conference play. 

The Bearcats clinch the third seed in the CUNYAC Tournament and will host a quarterfinal playoff at home in the ARC Arena on Tuesday, October 30, at 7:00 pm. They will play against the sixth-seeded John Jay College Bloodhounds.

Against Medgar Evers, the Bearcats were led this evening by junior Nicole Baruffaldi (Ossining, NY/Ossining) with 12 kills, while junior Staren Soanes (Dominica, W.I./Norman Thomas) had 11 kills.

Freshman Kristin Walker (Fayetteville, Arkansas/Fayetteville) dished out 33 assists to help preserve the victory.

The Bearcats will finish their regular season schedule this weekend by participating in the St. Mary's of Maryland Tournament.

They will start play on Friday evening against hosts St. Mary's (24-6) and Roanoke College (17-11).
