Farmingdale State Take Control Early, Defeat Bearcats (79-69)

The men’s basketball team dropped a 79-69 home contest to the Rams of Farmingdale State in a non-conference encounter on Monday night in the ARC Arena.
 
The Rams (15-8) picked up their 15th victory by shooting 46 percent (23-50), and by scoring on 29-of-43 free throws.
 
The visitors led throughout, and quickly answered a second-half Baruch rally that cut the score to 54-46, with eight consecutive points, to go up comfortably again, 62-46, with 10 minutes remaining.
 
Damien Santana (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grady) was the high-scorer with 22 points, while Terry Menefee (Mission, KS/Shawnee Mission North) recorded 19 points (10-14 free throws).
 
Freshman Arki Wisnu (New York, N.Y./Newtown) was the top Baruch (10-15) scorer with 16 points.
 
Adrian Serrano (Brooklyn, N.Y./Christ the King) scored 15 points and Carl Emengo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Canarsie) added 13 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
 
The Bearcats will return to action on Sunday with a CUNYAC tournament quarterfinal game against John Jay. Tip-off at CCNY is scheduled for 4:45 pm.
