Bearcats Fall to Hawks; Men's Volleyball to Host City Tech Next Tuesday at 7:00pm in CUNYAC Quarterfinals

CUNYAC WEEKLY REPORT

The men's volleyball team fell in three to Hunter College in a conference match played on Tuesday night in the ARC Arena.

The Bearcats lost by the scores of 30-22, 30-28, and 30-17 to drop to 12-2 in CUNYAC and 17-16 overall on the regular season.

The Bearcats will next return to action on Tuesday, March 20th, with a 7:00 pm home quarterfinal CUNYAC tournament match against City Tech.

The winners of the four quarterfinal matches on Tuesday, March 20th, will advance to the championship (semifinals & final) of the tournament on Thursday, March 22nd.

Baruch College is the host of the 2007 CUNYAC Men's Volleyball Championships.

Against Hunter this evening, Stephen Hansen (Hauppauge, N.Y./Hauppauge) led the Bearcats with 12 kills and five digs. Steve Rouse (New York, N.Y./A.P. Randolph) notched 10 kills and Radek Wyrwas (Bialystok, Poland/Grover Cleveland) dished out 35 assists.

Hunter (20-7, 13-0 CUNYAC) was led by Zacarias Ripoll (Bronx, N.Y./JFK) with 14 kills and 10 digs.
