The visiting Falcons from Messiah College led from start to finish to take a 3-0 sweep of the Bearcats in the opening quad match of the afternoon.
Leslie Heffner led the visitors with 10 kills and 12 digs, while Lauren Bourdon dished out 31 assists to lead Messiah to their 12th win of the season.
Staren Soanes led Baruch with six kills and Kristin Walker had 16 assists.

The Bearcats started strong with the opening-set victory, but the Gothic Knights fought back with tight 25-23, 25-23 and 25-20 set victories to record their 11th win of the season.
Jacqueline LeBlanc (16 kills) and Jennifer Carvalho (15 kills) led the attack for the defending champions from the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Alex Johanesen was particularly impressive with 43 assists and eight digs.
For the Bearcats, Nicole Baruffaldi had a solid match with a team-high 16 kills, while Staren Soanes and Mayra Estepan each notched 10 kills. Kristin Walker was busy again directing the offense with 30 assists.
Baruch 3, Rutgers-Newark 0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-16) Box Score
The Bearcats ended the quad on a positive note with a home sweep of Rutgers-Newark.
The Bearcats, who played most of their roster, were led by Nicole Baruffaldi with five kills, while Ola Qeraj led the offense with 10 assists.
Posey Wilson had 10 digs to help clinch the victory.
