The Baruch College Bearcats honored three seniors on Thursday afternoon at the Kingsborough Community College baseball field in Brooklyn, New York.

Head Coach Jose Torres, assistant coach Jefferson Infante, assistant coach Tom Santino, and bat boy Anthony Santino presented each of the three seniors with special gifts to honor their respective playing years as student-athletes for the Baruch baseball program.

The Senior Day event, which was initially scheduled for this past Tuesday against St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) but rained out, took place in a pre-game ceremony, prior to an exhibition against Kingsborough Community College.

On the field, the three seniors all played a part in a 19-7 victory, in an exhibition where each team cleared their benches, to allow every player on the roster ample opportunity to get action on the field and plate.

Greg Polius (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Mary's) led the Bearcats by batting 3-for-6, with four runs scored, three RBI, and two doubles.

Ramon Grullon (Brooklyn, N.Y./Murry Bergtraum) also scored four runs and added an RBI single as part of a 2-for-5 afternoon.

Ariel Fernandez (Queens, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) recorded a walk, single and scored twice in the victory.

Brett Barrow  (Forest Hills, N.Y./Forest Hills) also saw plenty of action with two singles, two RBI and two runs scored as a designated hitter.

The Bearcats will finish their 2008 schedule on Saturday with a 2:00 pm make up conference game at Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut.
