Manhattanville 14, Baruch 10 Box Score

The Valiants of Manhattanville College outscored the Bearcats, 14-10, in an exciting high scoring game on Thursday afternoon in Purchase, New York.

The visiting Bearcats led 10-9 going into the bottom of the 8th inning, but the home team exploded for five runs on three hits to record the eventual 14-10 final.

Baruch out-hit the Valiants (16-10) and scored at least one run in six of the game’s nine innings. Joseph Valentin and David Chestnut led the way with three hits each, while Ledesma nailed a home run (#5), triple and finished with five total RBI.
 
With the loss, the Bearcats drop to 12-8-1 on the regular season, while Manhattanville improves to 17-13.

The Bearcats will now prepare for an important weekend with a CUNYAC road doubleheader at Lehman College. First pitch on Saturday in the Bronx is scheduled for Noon.
