The men’s and women’s swimming teams each defeated the State University of New York at Maritime in a non-conference meet on Wednesday night in the ARC Aquatic Center.

The women won their fourth consecutive meet and seventh overall of the regular season by defeating the Privateers, 101-68. Alyssa Lubrino broke the freshman and school record in the 100 freestyle previously established by Annelie Gregor. Grace Kim also broke Gregor's school record in the 100 backstroke.

The men won their third consecutive meet and fourth overall by the score of 124-81 to also end their regular season schedule on a positive note with plenty of momentum.

Patrick Campbell established the new freshman record in the 800 free, while Kenny Kim did the same record breaking in the 100 free for a new freshman and school record. The relay team of Gustavo San Martin Dancourt, Kevin Kim, Ryan Flynn and Kenny Kim ended the meet by breaking the school record in the 200 free relay.

The two teams will now prepare for the three day CUNYAC Finals that are scheduled to get underway on Thursday, February 4, at Lehman College.

During the meet, the team honored eight seniors that have helped turned the swim program into a regular conference contender.
