The baseball team lost a 16-4 CUNYAC home contest to CCNY on Monday afternoon at the baseball complex of Westchester Community College in Valhalla, New York.

The visiting Beavers (9-9, 1-0 CUNYAC) took control early with a pair of runs scored in each of the first, fourth and fifth innings of play, and blew the game wide open with six total runs in the eight inning to record the conference victory.

CCNY totaled 20 hits for 16 runs, while Baruch was limited to four runs on five total hit in the first meeting of the regular season between the two teams.

Thomas Daly led the Bearcats (7-10, 2-2 CUNYAC) this afternoon by batting 2-for-4, with a single, double and four total RBI. Peter Dinolfo batted 1-for-3, with a walk, single and two runs scored in the loss.

SCHEDULE CHANGES

The non-conference home game against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy on Tuesday, April 6, will be played at the baseball complex of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in King's Point, New York. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00 pm, and Baruch remains the home team on the scoreboard.

The CUNYAC road doubleheader date against CCNY is still to be announced. CCNY was scheduled to host this doubleheader this past Saturday, April 3, but it was postponed due to field issues. The two teams are working to find a new date.
