The women’s tennis team split their two home CUNYAC matches on Columbus Day at the tennis courts of York College in Jamaica, New York.

With the results, the Bearcats clinch sixth place in the CUNYAC regular season standings with a 3-5 conference record and 3-9 mark overall.

Against Hunter, the Bearcats suffered a tight 5-4 loss. The rival Hawks won two of the three doubles and three of the six singles to post the one point victory.

Against Medgar Evers, the Bearcats finished the CUNYAC portion of their schedule with a 9-0 victory.

The women’s tennis team will finish their regular season schedule on Friday, October 14, with a non-conference home match against William Paterson University. First serve at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens is scheduled for 5:00 pm.

The CUNY Athletic Conference will announce the entire Championship Tournament schedule and seeding later this week.
