BOX SCORE

The baseball team lost a 4-3 non-conference nine-inning singles contest to SUNY-Oswego on Sunday afternoon at the SUNY-Old Westbury baseball complex in Long Island.

The two teams scored three runs each in the second inning for an early 3-3 tie that lasted until the seventh when Oswego scored the game-winning run and held on for the 4-3 victory.

Thomas Daly helped score the first run in the second inning with a sacrifice fly RBI to score Anthony MelendezPooti Ben Pradubsri smacked a two RBI single to drive home Jonathan Ovalles and Marcos Mejia for the team’s three total runs in the second inning.

Overall, Baruch had 10 total hits compared to eight by the visitors from upstate New York.

The baseball team is scheduled to return to action on Thursday, March 24, with a non-conference home contest against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. First pitch at the Bronx Community College baseball field is set for 3:30 pm.
