Women's Tennis Drop Match to Undefeated Farmingdale State (6-3)

The women’s tennis team lost a very competitive match to the Rams of Farmingdale State in a non-conference contest played on Saturday afternoon in Farmingdale, New York.



The home team Rams (4-0) from the Skyline Conference won with a team score of 6-3 by winning four of six singles and two of three doubles to remain undefeated.



The Bearcats (0-4) earned a victory at #1 singles with
Patricia Gomes Correia winning, 6-3, 6-2. Olga Shevchenko was victorious at #6 singles with a tight 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 victory.



The doubles team of Shevchenko and
Marianna Kogan won at #3 doubles with an 8-6 score.



The women’s tennis team will return to action on Tuesday, September 20, with a home match against rival Hunter College. First serve at the U.S. National Tennis Center is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
