FULL MEET EVENT RESULTS

SCORING - POINT SYSTEM

Women: Baruch 60, Hunter 35

Relays: 1st place – 7pts
Individual: 1st Place – 5pts, 2nd Place - 3pts, 3rd Place- 1pts

The women's swimming team defeated their rival the Hunter College Hawks (60-35) in a CUNYAC meet on Friday night at Hunter College in New York City.

The visiting Bearcats remained undefeated in the CUNYAC standings (4-0) by placing a first place swimmer in all 11 events to walk off with the victory.

The team of
Julia Sung, Apolonia Cieslak, Alyssa Lubrino  and Jacqueline Smith began the meet by winning the 200 yard medley relay.

The team of
Sally Lim, Jessica Lin, Denisse Duran Llano and Cieslak ended the meet by winning the 200 yard freestyle relay.

Individually, the Bearcats swam to victory as Sung (200 yard freestyle, 100 yard backstroke), Llano (500 & 1,000 yard freestyle), Lubrino (50 &100 yard freestyle), and Lim (200 yard individual medley, 100 yard butterfly) each won two events.

Cieslak (100 yard breaststroke) also posted an individual victory as the Bearcats improve their overall team record to 6-3.

The men's and women's swimming teams will resume their CUNYAC schedule on Monday, January 9, with a 6:00 pm CUNYAC meet at Lehman College.
