The women's tennis team defeated York College, 5-0, in a CUNYAC Championship quarterfinal match played on Wednesday night at the U.S. National Tennis Center.

The Bearcats won all three doubles and two singles to record the playoff victory. The victory was made even sweeter since York eliminated the Bearcats last year in the quarterfinals.

Amanda Naraine clinched the fifth team point by winning at sixth doubles, 6-0, 6-0, to end the match.

The Bearcats will return to action on Friday with a semifinal match against rival Hunter. First serve at the U.S. National Tennis Center is scheduled for 1:00 pm.
