The baseball team suffered a 22-7 defeat to the Road Runners of Ramapo College on Sunday afternoon in Mahwah, New Jersey.

Ramapo, a member of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC), pounded out 19 hits and scored 12 runs in the first two innings to cruise to the home victory.

Five different pitchers pitched for the Bearcats in the loss. Steve Hession stretched his hitting streak to eight games batting 2-for-4. Yancy Taveras, Thommy DeJesus and Harold Fernandez also recorded two hits each.

The Bearcats will look to shake off the disappointing loss as they will quickly return to action on Tuesday, April 17, with a 3:45 pm non-conference contest at New Jersey City University.
