The baseball team lost a highly competitive non-conference game, 4-1, to the State University of New York at Old Westbury on Sunday afternoon in Old Westbury, New York.

With the result, the visiting Bearcats drop to 21-19 overall, while Old Westbury establishes a team record with 30 wins to raise their record to 30-12 overall.

Old Westbury from the Skyline Conference jumped to a 1-0 lead in their first at-bat, but the Bearcats tied it in the fifth inning as Ricky Gerbino scored on a fielding error.

The two teams stayed tied until Old Westbury scored twice in the seventh and added one in the eighth to pull away for the 4-1 victory.
